  1. Unable to Connect to LAN PC via normal method but can connect via command prompt

    Hi

I've been facing this issue of not being able to connect to other PC's on the same LAN network.

    I have tried:
1 Typing the IP address of said PC on the address bar of the window wherein it asks for user id and password but doesn't connect
2 Going to Network and double clicking the said PC wherein I face the same issue as above.

I have tried to change all settings and matched it with the other PC's in the network but am still unable to connect via the above methods.
One thing that is happening however is that the User ID Credentials are being saved in Credential Manager.

The only method working is via Command Prompt wherein I use "net use \\-----------" and then enter the user id and password.
This however is a task that I have to do every time I restart my laptop to connect to the network.

Also, I know that I can create a process that would automatically load the above command prompt steps on startup and connect.
That however creates an issue for me for when I'm not in the same network as then it shows an error.

So, I'm looking for a solution which would give me the normal way of connecting wherein once you connect the the PC enter the user id and password, the same is saved and we don't have to reconnect again.

    :)

command prompt will not open in safe mode with command prompt

Would I just follow the same steps within safe mode after hooking up to the other system?

command prompt will not open in safe mode with command prompt

Command prompt is only accessible from the Administrative Profile, this is to prevent general users from accessing and bypassing controls.
One method is to remove the drive and connect it to another system.
