  1. Unable to connect to Wi-Fi frequently due to Network Adapter Realtek '8822BE Wireless LAN...

Dear Reader, For quite some time, I have been facing frequent issues while connecting to Wi-Fi. Its because, of issues in my network adapter - 8822BE Wireless LAN 802.11ac PCI-E NIC. Sometimes, I just find it missing, then i have to keep on restarting untill the issue gets resolved. Other times, when I can't connect I can see the driver and also some additional drivers which I normally cant see:-Then I am required to update the driver from the locally installed driver, which temporariy resolves the issue. But, the issue repeats after 210 mins- 1 hour. I am using Windows 11 Home right now.Pleas

    :)

  2. Wi-if adapter is missing from my network adapter list under device manager cannot connect to wi-fi.

windows 10 home plus, version 1703, os build 15063.786, 64 bit system, its a desktop tower.

my computer worked fine and then i was gone on vacation for about two weeks. When i resterted it, i was unable to connect to the internet. I ran troubleshooter and it said "There might be a problem with the driver for the Ethernet 2 adapter."

when i go into device manager to network adapters there is no wireless adapter listed. Just the Realtek PCIe GBE family controller and xbox wireless adapter for windows is listed.

if i go up to view in the task bar under the device manager and have "devices by type" and "show hidden devices" checked, it does show my "Microsoft Wi-Fi direct virtual adapter" and "Realtek 8812AE Wireless Lan" but they are hidden along with a long list
of "WAN Miniports". If I double click them their status says this "Currently, this hardware device is not connected to the computer. (Code 45)" "to fix this problem, reconnect this hardware device to the computer".

cannot connect to internet to update drivers, so that wont help.

do you think I should pull the LAN card from its slot and re-install?

    any suggestions would be appreciated

  3. Cannot connect to Wi-Fi on HP Notebook on Windows 10.

    Hello Bryon,

Thank you for posting on Microsoft Community. We regret the inconvenience caused and will assist you in resolving the issue.

Before assisting further, I would like to ask you few questions:

    • Are you able to connect to internet using LAN cable connection?
    • Do you get any error message/error code when you try connecting the PC to Wi-Fi?

You may be facing the above issue due to incompatible network drivers on your PC or due to change in the network provider services.

Step 1: If you have not tried, I suggest you to check if you are able to connect to internet using LAN cable.

If you are able to connect to internet using LAN cable, I suggest you to check if the wireless adapters are shown in the
Device manager by following the steps below:

    • Press Windows logo + X keys on the keyboard and select Device manager option.
    • Expand Network adapters option and check if the adapter to support Wi-Fi connection is located.
    • If yes, right click on the adapter and select Update option.
    • Follow the on-screen instructions.
    • Close the window and check if the issue is resolved.

Step 2: If you do not locate the wireless network adapter under Device manager, I suggest you to download and install the latest and compatible wireless adapter drivers for Windows 10 operating system from the manufacturer’s
website and check if the issue is resolved.

Write to us with the answers to the above questions and the status of the issue on the same post for further assistance. Your reply is most important for us to ensure we assist you accordingly.

    Thank you.

Unable to connect to Wi-Fi frequently due to Network Adapter Realtek '8822BE Wireless LAN...

Windows 10 stop automatically connecting to random new wi-fi networks

    Hi,

I have searched a lot, but all the tutorials I found only explained how to not connect automatically to a known wi-fi network or how to disable wi-fi sense... but this is not what I am looking for...

    PROBLEM:

    • When my laptop (Windows 10 Pro X64) is not connected to a network and the wireless adapter is on, it will automatically connect to any random new unsecured wi-fi network... The only way I have now to avoid this is to disable my wi-fi adapter.

UNUSEFUL TUTORIALS I FOUND ON THE INTERNET:

    • How to manually uncheck the option for a particular wi-fi network not to connect automatically in Network Properties. This is not what I am looking for. This would suggest that everytime I power my computer. I would have to manually go through all the available wi-fi networks and unclick them all...
    • How to disable Wi-Fi Sense. This is not useful, because I don't even have a Wi-Fi sense option in my computer where the tutorials say it should be.

    EXPECTED BEHAVIOR:

    • I am looking for an option to tell my computer to stop connecting randomly to unknown wi-fi networks like an hyperactive, reckless idiot.

    PERSONAL COMMENT:

    • Honestly, why would any respectable company think that it could be somewhat wise or secure to do this... Anyone's computer could just randomly connect to any hacker's wi-fi network without the user even knowing it...

Any solutions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
