Windows 10: Unable to connect to wifi on windows10 Works on linux using same device

Hello.


I am unable to connect to wifi at the moment. Ethernet works. Other devices on the same network work. This exact windows 10 PC works if I boot to ubuntu.


I have tried ALL the steps here https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/help/10741/windows-fix-network-connection-issues to no avail, including the network reset.

If it helps, I had this issue recently before and it was linked to my power profile - just using a different one and resetting the offending one worked that time. However that hasn't solved the issue now, and neither has creating a brand new power profile from scratch.


In addition to the steps in the link, I have also tried the driver directly from the network adapter manufacturer, also with no success.


System:
W10 1909 - entirely up to date accurate 13/04/2020


Network adapter:

TP-Link Wireless N PCI Express adapter

WiFi-Direct Connection between Windows and Linux(Ubuntu)

Hi,

I'm using the WiFi-Direct application from the Windows Universal Samples package to establish a connection between a Windows machine and a Linux (Ubuntu) machine which uses WPA Supplicant.

The WiFi Direct application works fine between two Windows machines.

Likewise, I'm able to connect two Linux machines via WiFi Direct using WPA Supplicant.

But I'm unable to connect the Windows WiFi Direct app with WPA Supplicant in Linux.

The Windows machine receives a connection request from Linux and, after the necessary credentials are entered, a response is sent back to Linux. But in the Linux machine the authentication fails and connection is not established

I also tried using another app called "WiFi Direct Legacy AP Demo" from the Windows Classic Samples package, but to no avail.

Are there any compatibility issues with Windows WiFi Direct app and WPA Supplicant? If yes, is there any other way to connect a Linux and a Windows machine using WiFi Direct?

I've updatd the drivers. I'm able to connect through WIFI at my friends place with their connectivity.

But, am unable to connect to the WIFI with my home connectivity.

Please suggest me.

Unable to connect on any Windows but Linux

Hi guys.

As From my post on General Nonsense Thread it is come clear to me that this MB is complete trash. In windows XP or any other version I'm unable to connect to the network but on Linux MINT I can just fine and even the sound works

I looked up THIS but no help at all
