Windows 10: Unable to Copy DVD's on Windows 10 :

Hi There:I hope everyone in the community and your families are well and safe.So I downloaded Windows 10 onto my old Dell Inspiron which originally came with Windows 7. I had a DVD of a home movie that I wanted to make a copy of which was so easy with Windows 7 - I would put in my original DVD, and copy it onto my hard drive, then put in a blank DVD and then transfer it from my hard drive onto the new one and it was copied in a matter of minutes and that also went for CD's too even if the original was purchased.Yesterday, I wanted to make a copy of this same home movie DVD and I was shocked w

Thank you for replying back with the status of this issue.

I would suggest you to copy the movie files from your DVD on your computer hard disk by opening the drive in the computer. You may follow the steps below -

• Insert the DVD in the CD\DVD drive.
• Open computer, click on DVD drive, and Select the files you want to copy. To select all files, press Ctrl and A keys together, to select files randomly press Ctrl and left mouse click on the file.
  
• Right click on the selected files, click on copy.
• Select the location where you want to save those files, right click and paste it.
  

Then you may insert the blank DVD and burn the disk using the Windows DVD Maker. You may refer to the below link for assistance in burning the DVD and other details -

Downloading home made DVD to copy again

It wasn't working?? When I put the DVD into my laptop, I got no option to copy, download, etc......just watch on the Toshiba video viewer.

Step 1: I suggest you to run Windows Media Player DVD troubleshooter.

Steps:

• Press Windows key, type troubleshooting
  and select it.
• Click on View all in the left pane.
• Click onWindows Media Player DVD and follow the onscreen instructions.
