Unable to create a new OneDrive folder with the proper name in Windows Explorer

I'm trying to create a subfolder in OneDrive\Pictures named Nineteen. Every time I type a letter after the N it causes a bunch of random name flashing and then a folder called N appears. If I type fast enough, I can get Ni before it fails. Once it named the folder "neteen". This is only an example since it doesn't matter what I try to name the file, it will fail.

After creating a New Folder but not typing in the name box, I noticed that the name flashes quite a bit for some time and then settles down. If I'm willing to wait for 10 to 15 seconds, it will sometimes let me name the folder correctly.

To make matters worse, a box sometimes appears with the words "New Folder" in it that appears over the name of a valid folder. If I try to delete this "New Folder", a different folder is deleted. The way to see that it's not a valid folder is to scroll the window. The box won't scroll with the window contents. At this point the window must be closed because the box will never go away.

This only happens in a OneDrive folder. The rest of the folder tree is unaffected.

    :)

  2. creating new folder problem in windows 10 creator

    Hi Gudiya,

The problem you've encountered in creating a folder could be caused by software or program conflict as the issue appeared a few days after installing the Windows 10 Creators update. For us to know if this only occurs when creating a new folder from the desktop,
we suggest that you try creating a new folder using a keyboard shortcut or from File Explorer. Please refer to the steps below:

Creating a new folder using a keyboard shortcut.

    • Click on the desktop.
    • Press CTRL + SHIFT + N.
    • A new folder should be created.

Creating a new folder from File Explorer.

    • Open File Explorer.
    • Hover your mouse on the location where you want to create a new folder.
    • Right-click it, go to New > Folder.

In case the problem persists, then we suggest that you go ahead and perform a clean boot. Doing so will start your computer using minimal drivers to help us determine what conflict is causing the problem. Check out
How to perform a clean boot in Windows for the detailed steps.

Let us know the result so we can further assist you.

    Regards.

Unable to create a new OneDrive folder with the proper name in Windows Explorer

    Windows 10 - OneDrive

Anyone know how to remove "OneDrive - For Business" from the Explorer navigation panel? I've tried just about every registry modification, and windows policy for "Onedrive" but they only seem to work for the consumer product, not for onedrive for business.

The onedrive product alone is so damn annoying and continues to load itself upon startup, even when it's explicitly remove from startup. It continues to automatically load and unload itself from within the startup folder... while I'm actively watching it load itself into the startup folder.
