Windows 10: Unable to create new note in StickyNote

Performed update on Windows 10 few days ago, after logged in to sticky note cannot even create the first note.

Sometimes I copy/paste links to stickynotes. If there is a single link on a stickynote and nothing else I can click the note, Ctrl/A, Ctrl/C then Paste into the browser bar. No problem. However, If I have more information than a single link and wish to select
a link, I need to highlight the link before copying.

On my touchscreen device, if I try to select using stylus or finger, Windows draws instead of selecting. Is there a way to turn this off?

 

Stickynotes notes issues in Windows 10

The stylus or finger still draws on Stickynotes when logged in using a brand new account and there are no option to switch it. In other words, it is exactly the same as my normal account.

We'd like to know, are you able to create a new user account to isolate if there are corrupted files in the current user profile that might be causing the problem. In case you miss it, here are the steps:

• Open Command Prompt (Admin).
• Type this net user test /add and hit Enter.

Note: If the new user account is already created, check if the issue still persists.
