Windows 10: Unable to create or work on Ubuntu VMs after Windows update ASRock

After updating windows, I was unable to log in to my Ubuntu VM.

I'm using ASRock Motherboard, which doesn't allow me to setup Linux directly. So I have my ubuntu machine working through Virtual Box.

But after I updated Windows nothing works -

I have tried reinstalling VirtualBox.

Creating a New Ubuntu guest.

Nothing is working.

I get kernel panic, in recovery mode

Problem with "quick create" Ubuntu 18.04.3 VM with enhanced mode enabled

After much ado, I found the solution to my problem -- Enhanced mode only works with Ubuntu 18.04 IF you check the "Require password" button when setting up Ubuntu! After creating a VM with "Require password" selected enhanced works as expected.

 

Creating Ubuntu from Windows for a Mac..Need Help !!!

I will create a CD for installing Ubuntu 10.10 32bits for an old 450mhz Mac G4 and wanna know if it will work if I create it with Windows 7 ? I will choose the opetion I would like to create to a CD and the other circle I will create by using Windows. But after creating with Windows will it be able to install in my Mac ? The mac original os X will rremain on a 40gigs hdd i will unplug it and replace with a 20gigs hdd to install ubuntu.

Networking issue - Windows and Ubuntu

Went on a short trip, took my Windows 10 laptop, turned off the Ubuntu computer and my wife's Windows 10 computer. When I returned, I turned everything back on and nether Windows computer could see the Ubuntu 16.04 LTS computer. On the Ubuntu computer, Files/Network clicking on Windows Network received "Unable to access location - Failed to retrieve share list from server: No such file or directory" error. Both Windows computers were able to use the Ubuntu before the trip.

Any suggestions?
