Windows 10: Unable to delete programmes because "I need permission from administrators"

I looked online for some different tools but the steps shown were not available on my device. This is a programme that just appeared on my desktop and I am extremely uncomfortable with not being able to delete files I don't trust

Let us assist you to have an Administrator permission. To start, follow the steps below to enable the Windows Super Administrator Account.

• Type CMD on the search box.
• CMD will appear at top.
• Right click on it, then choose Run as administrator.
• Type this command & hit Enter: Net user administrator /active:yes.
• After you enable the Super Administrator account, log out on your existing account then log into Super Administrator account.
• On the Super Administrator account, you can now create an Administrator account or give Administrator permission on the existing account.

After you created an Administrator account, we suggest that you disable the Super Administrator account by following the same steps and using this command:
Net user administrator /active:no.

Not recognised as an administrator on my computer

All now good as far as Administrator is concerned, thanks. Still can't delete these two McAfee files as they still say I require Administrator permission to do this. If I search for these files in the manner you suggest, they are not listed. If I go into
file explorer/This PC/OS/(C)/Programme Files, there they are and I can't delete them. Any ideas?

 

Unable to delete a folder - Invalid folder name


Suggestion:

1. Run chkdsk x: /r to make sure that there's no HD corruption.
   x: is the drive containing the folder you want to delete.
2. Try to delete the folder again. If still does not work, go to step 3.
3. Download: Download - Linux Mint and create a bootable USB using: Rufus - Create bootable USB
4. Boot up with Linux Mint and try to delete the folder again.
   NOTE: Unlike WinPE. Linux does not have any Windows permission imposed to it so it is easier to delete.
