  1. Unable to detect mobile through Data cable

I've recently purchased Asus notebook X412DA. In this laptop, I'm facing the problem with detect mobile through Data cable e.g, Realme, Vivo, OPPO, Lava and may be more. Even it doesn't pop-up on the screen of the laptop and mobile both while connecting. Only just charging is started in the mobile. However, I checked the same mobile with the same date cable in different laptop then it shows.

If I connect Samsung and Nokia to my asus laptop, it does pop-up on screen and after getting permission to the mobile, I am able to check the mobile data on Laptop screen like media, photos and everything.

I don't know why this is happening through selected category of mobile?

    :)

  2. Lost data from hard drive, what to do now?

Well, I'm sorry to hear that it's a WD My Passport that failed on you, @tomhenry ! *Frown Unable to detect mobile through Data cable :(
I'd recommend you to try using a different USB cable with it and see if that will help your system to detect it without it disconnecting.
I'd also suggest you to go to Disk Management and see how the drive is listed there. It won't hurt to check up on the health and SMART status of the HDD by running the QUICK and EXTENDED tests from the WD's Data LifeGuard Diagnostics. Here's a link to the available software: http://products.wdc.com/support/kb.ashx?id=11ZOpD

Give these troubleshooting steps a try and keep us posted with the results!

Use of Data cable into NOKIA E61 smartphone

I recently purchased a NOKIA E61 model smartphone. I pushed the data cable into the slot at the bottom of the mobile phone and successfully transferred data from my laptop into the mobile phone. Now I am unable to remobe the data cable from the mobile
phone. It seems there is a locking arrangement. But in the data cable head , there is nothing to push and unlock the data cable from the slot. I am afraid to exert force lest it breaks the lock of the data cable head. Can anybody suggest the technique to take
out the data cable? I could not find anything (picture) in the Operator's mannual of the phone. I am working in a Oilfield which is far away from the nearest city. So I cannot go to the shop immediately, from where I bought it. If any existing user of NOKIA
E61 model helps me in this, I shall be obliged. Thanks. Amlan Basu, Abu Dhabi, U.A.E.

  4. Unable to detect mobile through Data cable

zune unable to detect my phone

    Hello riteshsingh5312,

Thanks for visiting the Answers forum.

I understand that you're having an issue with the Zune Software not detecting your Phone. Please try the following steps:

    1. Verify your USB Connection

    • Click Start, right-click Computer, and then click
      Properties.
    • Click Device Manager, located in the left column.
    • A window will appear with the name of your computer and a list of files. If you don't see the files, click the name of your computer. The name of your Windows Phone 7 should be listed under Portable Devices.

If your computer’s Device Manager does not detect that your phone is connected, it is likely due to physical connection issue between the USB port on the phone and the USB port on the computer. Possible causes:

    • You are not using a good USB data sync cable, like the one that came with the phone. Some phones are also supplied with optional “charging” cables that cannot be used to establish a data connection with a PC. Try another cable, if possible.
    • There is dust or debris in the USB port on the phone. Try using a can of compressed air to clear the USB port on the phone to ensure a good connection.
    • The USB port on the computer is bad. Try connecting to another port.
If this does not resolve the issue, please try the rest of the steps located in this support article:
