Windows 10: Unable to Disconnect Accounts Used for Other Apps - Win 11 Pro

I am logged into my machine as local admin. This is a personal laptop. I am attempting to disconnect a Work or School account that I no longer have access to but has caused issues with attempting to log into Microsoft apps. I have no option to Disconnect only Manage. When I click Manage, Windows opens a browser, and attempts to have me log into Microsoft.

Upgrade to Win 11 Pro from Win 10 Pro and keep local account

I've been running the Insider Release Preview of Windows 11 22H2 on some of my machines for a while now. The current latest build 22621.457 is pretty close to being ready to release. I have an ISO for that build and have just tested that. Yes, stay disconnected from the internet until install is finished and use the latest known workaround and you can still clean install Windows 11 22H2 and set it up with only a local account.

 

Remove account

I suggest you backup your personalized files first before removing the account.
To delete an account, follow these steps:

1. Press WIN + X keys and click Command Prompt (Admin) from the menu.
2. Type the following command and press Enter. Replace test with the name of your sister's account. Code:

 

Updating Win 11 to pro from a disabled PC

It was bought separately as Win 7 and then updated to 10. If I go back to Win 10 OEM, could I update that to pro and then upgrade to Win 11? They are both listed in my Microsoft account.
