Windows 10: Unable to download any applications from Windows Store or Xbox App

I am unable to download any games or applications from the Windows Store App or Xbox App. All downloads just stay in a Preparing 0%. I have reset, repaired, uninstalled both the Gaming Services and Xbox App. I have also used PowerShell and CMD to clean any networking issues and cleared out any registries related to those applications.

Do you face an issue with a particular\ all apps?

As you have issue with the store downloading apps, try to run these inbuilt troubleshooters.

We would suggest you to try the steps mentioned in the link

• Type troubleshooting in the search box and hit Enter.
• Click View all from the left pane and select Windows store apps.
• Follow the on-screen instructions and check.

and

Follow the same steps to use the Windows update troubleshooter.

(Microsoft Store + exe) Error whilst downloading new XBOX Application

Hi all,

I need the XBOX app for a couple of my games and whilst I've got xbox game bar and xbox console companion now microsoft need me to download the XBOX app. *chuckle

When I downloaded it through the microsoft store I get this error code: 0x80070005. So, I downloaded it from Xbox App for Windows PC | Xbox - no use.



I believe there is no way to download these games without the xbox app?

I'm on Windows 10 21H2 Home Edition Up to date

I suggest you to login through administrator Microsoft Account and perform the below steps and check if it helps:

Step 1: Re-register the Store App and check.

• 
  Right click on Start button on the desktop and select
  Command Prompt (Admin).
  
• 
  Here, User Account Control window pops up and click on
  Yes to open Command Prompt with administrator privileges.
  
• 
  Type the below command in the Command Prompt:

  powershell -ExecutionPolicy Unrestricted Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register $Env:SystemRoot\WinStore\AppxManifest.xml
