Windows 10: Unable to download anything from MS Store

Hello,


Around a week ago Forza Horizon 4 stopped working, i decided the best course of action would be to reinstall the game, so i uninstalled it, however when i tried to reinstall it i would click install, and after a few seconds would be told that the MS store was unable to complete my download at this point. I tried to download several different applications with all of them giving me the same error (The error code provided was 0x80072F8F), furthermore my windows update page in the settings also encounters an error saying "We couldn’t connect to the update service. We’ll try again later, or you can check now. If it still doesn’t work, make sure that you’re connected to the Internet."


I have attempted everything i could find online, including setting the time and date manually, wsreset, multiple cmd and powershell commands as well as twice wiping a clean installing windows with no success. At this point i am completely out of ideas and have no idea how to fix this issue.

Unable to download from Windows Store

I suggest you to reset Windows Store by following the steps below and check if it helps.

Press “Windows key + R”, type “WSReset.exe” (without quotes) and press Enter.

Unable to download Edge extensions via MS store

• Did you get any error messages when you tried to install the particular extension?
• Does this happen when you just download that particular extension or with other application also?

Hi,

I suggest that you reset the Windows store, follow the steps below.

Reset the Windows Store

You can use the steps below to refresh the Store which will clear the cache and refresh your library and permissions.

• Close the Windows Store app if you have it open.
• Click Start and type wsreset.
• Right-Click on the command and click Run as Administrator. If the Windows permission box appears, click Yes or Run.
• A black MS DOS screen will appear for a few seconds. Wait for it to disappear and the Store will automatically open.
• Attempt to install Sea of Thieves
