Windows 10: Unable to download game

I recently purchased Forza Horizon 4, and was attempting to preload it today.


I kept getting the same error message every time, saying it could not download. The code was 0x80073CF9. It would start downloading for a couple of seconds, then I would get a notification saying "Couldn't install. We'll try again shortly", after which (sometimes) the download would restart itself. However, the same notification would come up a few seconds later. Quite often the download would not restart and would simply give up, giving the above mentioned error code. Attempting to restart the download would do the same thing.


I became frustrated and attempted several fixes that I found on Google, but to no avail. I had the same issue when I attempted to play Sea of Thieves with game pass; the download would only run for a matter of seconds before failing and giving the exact same error code.


Other apps I already have installed do not have this issue when updating, only new games it seems.

Unable to download

Is there something wrong with the server providing the download for SysTool? I'm unable to download the application using Firefox or IE.

Are there any mirrors?
