Windows 10: Unable to download missing microsoft store app?

I got a new pc a couple of months ago and everything works fine, I have Office 365 downloaded and other stuff. However, it doesn't have the microsoft store app and it won't let me download it from online. When I click download it just doesn't do anything and when I search for and try to download other apps it says I do not have the required app to be able to do that. I just updated my windows and it didn't help. :-

I am unable to download the itunes app on to my pc from the Microsoft store. I select itunes, I get to the itunes app page and click "download now." When I do this, it opens a new Microsoft Store window listing a whole bunch of "Essential Apps." I scroll down the list of "essential apps," find itunes again and select it, which brings me back to the same itunes download page I started with. But when I select "download now" it just opens up the "Essential Apps" window again. What am I doing wrong?

In case that the troubleshooter didn’t help on this matter, we suggest that you reset the Microsoft Store. Kindly follow the steps:

• Press Windows + R keys to run the command box.
• Type WSReset, then try downloading the app again.
