Windows 10: Unable to edit old/new pictures since upgraded system yesterday

Uploaded newest system 18.1.1 yesterday. Uploaded pictures into a new picture folder. When I tried to edit new pictures, message link said to use ms paint. Clicked link and message said "no results found". Tried to access older picture folders and was not able to open or edit them. I never used ms paint; I have canon software to edit pictures which I have successfully used for the past 10 years! I am a beginner. Do I need to consult a more experienced user about photo viewing and editing?

Old picture files

Based on the description you provided, we need to determine why all your old pictures disappeared after replacing your printer to a new one. With that said, kindly answer the following questions:

• What steps have you tried so far to recover your old pictures?
• Did you use an application to save your scanned photos from your previous printer?
• Have you tried searching for the folder via Cortana?

 

Edit metadata autocomplete list for pictures/music files

I cannot find a way to delete/edit the autocomplete list displayed when editing the metadata on pictures. I get a list of previous entries (some of which are just plain junk) and would like to delete those as suggestions. I tried the steps with the following
link and did not have any success. I do not have a AUTOCOMPLETE listing under "Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\MediaPlayer".

Logon Screen Account Picture - Windows 10 Anniversary Upgrade

Just to clarify, Are you able to view picture in Settings >Accounts?

If you are unable to view account picture

I suggest you to try the below steps and check if it helps.

• Type Settings in the search bar.
• Click on Accounts and Under Your picture.
• Click on Browse and set profile picture.

And check if the issue persist.
