Windows 10: Unable to empty "Junk" folder in Windows 10 Mail App

Hi,

I access my Outlook.com email through the Windows 10 Mail app - this is the same Microsoft Account that I sign into my laptop with.

When I Right-Click on the Junk Folder and click on "Empty Folder", as I would so in Outlook or on Outlook.com, I am presented with the below error:





I then have to select each message individually and then hit the Delete key to delete the messages in there.

Has anyone else experienced this issue, or know any fixes?

open trash/junk folder, right click, drop down will appear, select EMPTY FOLDER follow prompts. that will empty the folder/folders.

No that is the way I do it as well
One at a time
I do it once a day at the end just before I log off

 

I don't even get the option to Empty Folder in my W10 Mail app. I can only delete by selecting multiple emails using the selection mode button and then deleting them all in one go.

 

Interesting - it's definitely there as an option - it just doesn't work!!

 

By way of contrast here is the result I get and I have also posted my settings.

 

Mine is set to Download as Items Arrive and Download all Items - I overrode the default settings to change to this.
