Windows 10: Unable to enable Windows Update 0x80070422

Hello I am trying to Re Enable windows update because I first noticed this Error when trying to install Xbox Installer since I got the error Code 0x80070422 so I tried going to my windows update Settings to look for an option to enable it but since I couldnt I began looking online. I tried to follow these steps that another user was having a similar issue to me but when I followed those steps I was getting the same Errors I tried first doing a simple Restart which did not work and I also Tried disabling unnesccary services except for windows ones in startup but that did not work either im real

0x80070422 in my update

0x80070422 means "The service cannot be started, either because it is disabled or because it has no enabled devices associated with it."

1. Launch the Services MMC (services.msc)
   
2. Double-click Windows Update
   
3. Set its startup type to Manual
   
4. In the Log On tab, select Local System account.
   
5. Switch to the General tab, and click Apply
   
6. Click Start to start the Windows Update service.

0x80070422 Error

The error code 0x80070422 means "The service cannot be started, either because it is disabled or because it has no enabled devices associated with it".

Press Win + R, type services.msc and click OK. This opens the Services MMC.



Inspect (and fix if necessary) the startup type of the following services and try to start them:

• Windows Update [Start type: Manual]
  
• Background Intelligent Transfer Service [Start type: Manual]
  
• Update Orchestrator Service [Start type: Automatic (delayed start)]
  
• Delivery Optimization [Start type: Automatic]
  

If some services are missing or unable to start, post the names of the missing services or the error message(s) here.

install the latest update on your PC to check if it's the one might be causing the issue? If you've already tried updating
