Windows 10: Unable to enter/change product key

Hello, I am trying to enter my product key to activate windows on my newly built PC. When I try to click the link/page to enter/change my product key, I receive an error and the link does not work. It causes my PC to crash and the settings menu freezes. I purchased a product key from Amazon. I'm also unable to click troubleshoot as it also causes my settings page to crash! When I clear the task manager a GUI error message pops up. Any help or guidance would me greatly appreciated. There is still a way to search for your product key. Kindly follow the steps below for you to know your product key:

• Press Windows key + X
• Click Command Prompt (admin)
• Enter the following command: wmic path SoftwareLicensingService get OA3xOriginalProductKey
• Then hit Enter

The product key will be revealed, copy the product key then enter it.

I see that you are unable to change a product key on your machine. I advise that you try another method to enter your new product key. To do this, take the following steps.

1. Type Command Prompt in the search bar and right-click on the result.

2. Select Run as administrator.

3. Type in the commands below and press Enter after each of them:

slmgr -upk

slmgr -cpky

slmgr -ipk XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX (Replace XXXX with your

product key)

slmgr -ato
