Windows 10: Unable to find, edit, or delete contacts in Win 10 Mail not Outlook.

I've read the report of going to Start, typing Contacts, clicking on the "gear" settings icon in the bottom left corner. There IS no gear icon there. I've tried the "search" feature for a name that will appear when I begin typing it for a new E-mail. The search feature won't find it, and in fact it won't find anything. Yet, SOME contacts are there and will appear when typing in the "To" field for a new e-mail. There just doesn't seem to be any way to actually see what is IN the contacts, and no way to find out where it is and no, it is NOT in C:\User\Username\Contacts, there's a desktop

Delete mails in Outlook but want to keep mails untouch in webmail

When I deleted an email in outlook and my webmail got deleted too. I want to keep all the inbox mails from the webmail even I complete deleted in outlook. I spend hrs can't think it out how. Any step by step instruction? I'm using IMAP account btw. Thanks and Merry Christmas.

 

Win Live Mail lost some contacts

Desktop PC,Win 10,FF primary,IE secondary. I used Outlook mail on my XP laptop and liked it. When I got this PC I could not use Outlook and went to Live Mail. I do not find it to be user friendly like the old Outlook. Today I went to send an email and found about half of my contacts were missing and cant seem to recover them. I would like to download the free Outlook Mail and move my old emails over and create a single contact list that can be edited. Currently I have several different contact lists some of which can be edited and some not. When finished I would like to delete the old lists and Live Mail. Can this be done and how?

 

Outlook Contacts - unable to delete contacts linked to another email

I have a few email accounts. In trying to accomplish something I have been messing up the contacts.


Now there are 2 identical entries in Outlook Contacts (both empty)

Contacts some-email-address
Contacts some-email-address

The email address linked to these contacts is still valid and used for receiving mail only. Very sporadically used for sending - maybe a few times a year.
The contacts are empty, rightfully so.

I wanted to delete one, but got a warning "Cannot delete this folder" blah blah.

Any suggestions?
