Windows 10: Unable to find recent files in Microsoft Cloud

    Unable to find recent files in Microsoft Cloud


    My desktop computer died an HP Elite mini, and when I try to access my files on the Microsoft Cloud with a laptop or any other computer, only old files pre-2024 appear. The MS 365 files were all synching just fine to my personal cloud before the desktop died.

    you get the idea. ( too lazy to put it in a for loop and test it.

    or just open regedit and remove all the fileX from that key.

    to prevent it from autopopulating try making the reg key
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion
    \Applets\Paint\Recent File List read only

    Windows 10 Office 365 cannot open files from: recent file list

    Thanks for the tip! I followed all above steps.

    So far I can open files from the Recent files list when I enter Word itself, however I still am unable to open any documents using the Word icon pinned to the taskbar:
