    Unable to find wifi.

    Hello! I’m apologising beforehand if my grammar is horrible, english isn’t my first language.

    I have a 2015 MSI laptop running windows 10, my laptop started to have wifi problems out of nowhere;

    It is unable to find any wifi EXCEPT my phone’s hotspot AND it can only detect my home wifi if I place my laptop literally next to the router but it only showed about 2 bars of signal, which is weird. If I’m in my room, which is a few steps further from the router, it only showed 1 bar of the wifi signal and then a few moments later, it’s gone again.

    To add some information, my laptop uses Wi-Fi 2 now, before it became like this, it was just Wi-Fi.

    I’ve checked the settings in service, battery, device manager, it was fine... I also reset network in cmd, reset every network settings and updated my drivers, yet the result is still the same.

    Could it be because of my Wi-Fi Card? Sorry for writing so much, thank you for reading

    :)

    Windows 10 wifi not turning on Acer Aspire laptop

    In order to get the list of available wireless networks, you have to:

    1. Switch on Connect to suggested open hotspots (see the screenshot in question);
    2. Click on Wifi icon in the right corner. Now you have your networks back.

    After that the parameter from Step 1 can be turned off, networks will be listed normally after restarting Wifi.

    P.S. I feel rather stupid at the moment. I thought that open hotspots are passwordless hotspots and so are presumably not very safe. So of course I've turned that off during installation.
    Really hard to see any logic in this case.

    Win10 computer suddenly unable to access printer on home wifi

    For some reason, the printer lasted less than 24 hours printing correctly, and now I again can't fix it, even by doing what "worked" before (Comment #6 upthread).

    Regarding the static IP suggestion:
    1. The printer is connected via USB to a Windows 7 computer on the home network. It's not on the network by IP address. Here is a screenshot of the printer port properties.

    2. Although there ARE "headaches" as is said above, the vast majority of the other computers on the home wifi network, NEVER have had a problem printing to it. And this applies to computers that have run XP, Win7, Win10, and MacOS. For the most part until now, it's included the particular Win10 computer in question.
    3. If I still might be able to give it a static IP address, will this affect the other computers that have been able to print to it fine using printer name?
