Windows 10: Unable to get XBox one controller to work with Star Trek online with Windows 10

We just bought a wired XBox one and Windows controller to be able to use it for Star Trek online on our Windows 10 PC. We are unable to get it to work other than turning the ship. We would like to be able to fly the ship and much more with the controller. How can we set up the controls for the game. The brand we bought was pdp. We have downloaded the Hub but still have not been able to get the controller to work. Please give us some advise. We would like to use it but cannot get it to work. Can you please let us know what we are doing wrong?

Star Trek crystal discs?

Not yet...but maybe our children's, children will be using crystals like Star Trek, Superman style as home recording/ playback devices. I'm assuming they use a quartz base because of the vibrating nature of the crystal when hit with certain light frequencies. Small steps first. *Smile
