Windows 10: Unable to install 7z file

hiI have downloaded 7z file. clicked on to install the 7z file. it shows 7z file installed. No window popped up asking for permission.when I tried to open a 7z file with right click cant see any option with 7zip open the file.Appreciate reply from anyone.ThanksMohammad Islam

Problems with .7z extension?

Right click one of the .7z files then click Properties

Under General, click Change

If you don't see 7zip listed, click More apps then scroll through the list and select 7zip

Click Ok

i was recentley modding a video game and i downloaded a file with this name Анвил.7z i cant move it delete it or rename it any help

Usually, file cannot be deleted if it is in use or there could be a possibility of permissions on the file that is not letting the file to be deleted.



Let’s go ahead and take ownership of the file and see if the file can be renamed or moved.

1. Open the file location
   and right click on the file i.e. Анвил.7z.
   
2. Click on Properties
   at the bottom of the context menu.
   
3. Click the Security tab, click
   Advanced, and then click the Owner tab.
   
4. Click Edit. If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
   
5. Click the name of the person you want to give
   ownership to.
   
6. If you want that person to be the owner of files and subfolders in this folder, select the
   Replace owner on sub-containers and objects check box.
   
7. Click Apply and then click
   OK.
   

If the issue persist, please try to boot the PC in safe mode and check. Refer the article

start your PC in safe mode in Windows 10.
