Windows 10: Unable to install CorelDraw, Error: "This installation is forbidden by system policy....

Hi guys,


I recently tried installing CorelDraw and this error message popped up

"This installation is forbidden by system policy. Contact your system administrator"


I tried following troubleshooting steps where it asked me to:


start > run regedit
Browse the registry to HKLM\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Installer
Create: DisableMSI Type: REG_DWORD value = 0 0 should allow you to install it was originally 1
In my case the value had been set to 2 so I changed it to 0



Here I am not able to find the installer folder in this path.


Would be really helpful to hear from you guys to solve this problem.

Installation forbidden by system policy

The device in question is a SanDisk 16gb usb drive. It works ok on this Win 7 computer, and it works ok on another Win 10 computer, but on one Win 10 machine I get this message, "The installation of this device is forbidden by system policy."

What's the fix?

I am needing to install a driver update for my network adapter and believe a malware is giving error "This installation is forbidden by system policy. Contact your system administrator." and not allowing me to install from the flash drive
