Windows 10: Unable to install correct drivers for my CPU; stuck with Microsoft Basic Display Adapter....

So, my Mac was low on storage and there was something I needed that only Windows had. So I just backed up all important files; and downloaded Windows 10. I've done this multiple times before, everything went perfectly the other times. However; when I tried to run the latest release of Blender, it said I needed OpenGL 4.3, which I had on my original OS. I tried some stuff, and then decided to take a break. I downloaded Roblox, and guess what: it could barely even run a simple baseplate game. All games I downloaded ran at 5-10 FPS, maximum.I followed some tutorials, which told me to download the

Please follow the steps below:

• Under Driver tab, choose Roll Back
  Driver.

If rolling back the driver is unavailable, update the display driver manually.

• In Device Manager, expand Display

  Display Adapter, and select Properties.
• Under Driver tab, choose Update Driver.
• Select Browser my computer for driver software.

This is what worked for me. After upgrade to windows 10 from windows 7 devise manager shows Microsoft display basic adapter, I selected driver update then my pc and browse to C: drive then it auto searched my C: drive and found my old graphic card and
installed the correct display driver which was NVidia and listed correct model. Now the monitor is identified by the correct name and model, and I was able to adjust display to the recommended settings it was 1600x900 which it was not an available option
