Windows 10: Unable to install Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems KB5031354

This is a desktop PC that I built myself. I installed Windows 11 on about a year ago. I have had no problems with Windows Update until now.Motherboard: Asus Prime B550-PLUSCPU: Ryzen 5600x Memory: 32GB DDR4I have several internal hard disks. The boot disk where Windows11 is installed is a Samsung SSD 981 1TB which has 175GB freeWhen I run Windows Update it downloads and says it is installing. Windows Update asks me to reboot. On reboot the install progress gets to 97%, waits there for a while and then says "Something didn't go as planned. No need to worry--undoing changes. Please keep your com

I manually uninstalled the 2023-10 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5031354) and repeated it to make sure it was successfully uninstalled.





The 2023-10 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5031354) is still in the Update History.

I run wushowhide to hide the 2023-10 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5031354). There is nothing to hide because it is automatically hidden upon checking the Show Hidden updates.

I will observe the behavior of my laptop after doing the steps mentioned.
