Windows 10: Unable to install default apps for Windows 10 ( HRESULT: 0x80073CF6)

Dear All,

After I upgraded my PC from Windows 7 pro to 10 Pro, I noticed photos application was not working, while calculator etc. were working. I did not checked all, in order to fix all one time I performed removal of all, then used command

Get-AppXPackage | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}


but it is failing for every application with error as given in subject and I am also attaching photo of error captured. Please assist till now I am unable to find fix to this. Frustrating.

Windows sound recorder is corrupted

troubleshooter says no solution can be found. If i try to unistall the app, the following errors are provided:

HRESULT: 0x80073CF6;

0x80070003;

 

Windows 10 - Windows Store is not opening at all (also Windows Apps)

Hey.

I recently formatted and re-installed fresh Windows 10 Pro (Build 1511)

At first everything was fine. Windows Store and Windows Apps worked fine.

After one week I noticed that the Windows Store Icon was blank and When i'm clicking it,

It won't even effect the Windows. It's just doing nothing it won't open the Windows Store. Like i'm clicking on blank icon.

Also it's doing the same on Windows Apps (Weather,Groove Music etc...)

I also searched here and i found that someone tried to run this on the PowerShell (Admin)

Any one to help me on this to fix it permanently

 

I've no experience with this specifically, but usually IO errors are are due to disk writing inaccessibility - could be permissions or disk/filesystem errors - I'd suggest run chkdsk /f /r from a cmd prompt, then try that PS cmd again.

 

Don't use that Powershell command anymore.
It has been known to "break" instead of "fix."

My suggestion :
Do a Repair Install.
Repair Install Windows 10 with an In-place Upgrade
