Windows 10: Unable to install drivers, updates

I am unable to install drivers either manually or through Windows Update. I am able to pull up Windows Updates window but if I try to change the options or see update history, the window closes immediately.

It fails to install updates with error 0x8007007f. After some searching, I ran sfc /scannow and received a message that "Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix them." Here's the CBS.log file.

It seems to show a lot of errors? I am currently running DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth and it looks like it is hung up at 29.1% for a while. Stuck there for probably a couple hours.

My driver installation is corrupt, and I cannot re-install it. Do I have to delete Itunes and then it will properly install the driver?

If the issue persist, perform a Clean boot.

Putting your system in Clean Boot state helps in identifying if any third party applications or startup items are causing the issue. You need to follow the steps from the article mentioned below to perform a Clean Boot.

Note: Once you are done with the troubleshooting, perform the steps in "How to reset the computer to start as usual after troubleshooting with clean boot" to reset computer as usual.

Ran DISM in Safe Mode. It got as far as 91.9% then provide Error 1726.

The message reads "The remote procedure call failed." Here's the log.

 

If DISM is failing in Safe mode, I think next step is Windows Refresh. It will keep your data but remove apps, drivers... all described in the Guide

If can't do a Refresh, then a look at Windows Repair

 

I did a Windows refresh this weekend after trouble started in earnest. Will refreshing do anything other than to bring me back to this point?
