Hello,I am experiencing an issue where my system references an app's installation in the folder C:\Games\, but this folder no longer exists on my system. Despite the folder being missing, the app still appears in the system's apps list, and when I attempt to reinstall it, the installation fails because the system cannot resolve the address.I have tried:Searching for the folder even with hidden items visible.Restarting the system and clearing the DNS cache.Checking permissions on C:\.Running cleanup tools to remove residual files.However, the problem persists. I am encountering an issue where an application fails to initialize due to a missing C++ driver. Despite following troubleshooting steps, including installing the latest Visual C++ Redistributable package and restarting my computer, the problem persists. The error message does not specify which driver or provide further details, making it difficult to resolve. Assistance in identifying and fixing this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Download and install the application.
   
2. Attempt to run the application.
   
3. Receive error message: "Unable to initialize app due to missing C++ driver."
   

Troubleshooting Steps Taken:

1. Ensured the operating system and related software are up to date.

C windows installer folder - Delete?

He can do symbolic link redirection and move the files in it to a different location. *Wink
Better try it out in a virtual of first. Just a suggestion.

Like:
First move everything in c:\windows\installer to d:\installercache
Then delete c:\windows\installer folder
Then type this in command mode as admin
mklink /d c:\windows\installer d:\installercache

Removing those installer files is a bad idea. it might prevent you from updating or uninstalling apps.

Thanks for replying spunk. That's the 'alphabetical' list I was referring to, none of these apps are in that 'All apps' list. Any more suggestions?
