Windows 10: Unable to install print driver from the HP website

Hello,

This morning I attempted to print something, and my computer decided it was no longer going to let that happen. I have never had a printing issue, since purchasing the computer in May of this year. I attempted to download the most recent print driver for my Samsung SCX-4729FW from the HP website, but the "App has been blocked for my protection" window popped up when trying to install. I do not know how to allow the driver to install on my computer. I went to the User Account Control on my computer, but it does not help in allowing me to actually download anything.


Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re-Installing HP drivers....

Hey guys!

So I just reformatted my Aunt's HP/Compaq Laptop (CQ42-292TX) and now I'm installing the drivers, but it looks like it won't

I've tried downloading and installing the drivers from the HP website, and all of them would just fail. (Even if they finished) Also the Intel driver would just show "This computer does not meet the requirements.." blah blah blah even if there's no driver installed.

the only drivers I need is:

Wi-Fi driver

what I have:
Graphics Driver (I already have the latest from AMD and Intel...)

the AMD driver would just finish installing but Catalyst won't show up :/

I'll try safe mode

Quick replies and any suggestions are welcome (except setting it to Wumbo)

Unable to print using HP 6000 printer

Let’s try simple troubleshooting steps and check if this help in resolving the issue. Follow the below methods.

Method 1.

I would suggest you to run Printer troubleshooter to diagnose the exact issue and fix it.

• 
  Type troubleshooting on the search bar and click on
  Troubleshooting.
  
• 
  Click on Troubleshooting and click on print on
  printer Hardware and Sound.
  
• 
  Click on Advanced on the Printer troubleshooter dialog box and click on Run as administrator (Enter the credentials if required).
  
• 
  Click on Next and follow onscreen instruction complete the Printer troubleshooter.
  

If the issue still persist, try the below provided information.

Method 2.

I suggest you to uninstall the printer driver and then reinstall the latest driver from the manufacturer website. Follow the steps:

Step 1.

  Press Windows key + R.
  
• 
  Type devmgmt.msc in the box and hit
  Enter.
  
• 
  Go to Printer queues and uninstall the driver.

If the printer driver is not available for Windows 10 you can try installing the printer driver is compatibility mode.

  Download the latest printer driver from the manufacturer’s website.

  Right-click on the setup file of the driver and select Properties.

  Select Compatibility tab.

  Check Run this program in Compatibility mode.
  
• 
  Let the driver install and then check the functionality.

Windows 10 HP Officejet Pro 8620 Will not print


Thank you for posting this. I tried all the listed steps and still not able to print EXCEPT when I ran the HP Print and Scan Doctor; at the conclusion of the scan, the app prompts me to print a test page from within the Scan Doctor and it is successful. I recall the 8620 being able to do this as well, however.
