Windows 10: Unable to install printer drivers, please help!

My mother bought me this new HP computer just under a year ago. I have been unable to download ANY printer drivers since the day I set up the computer. I've done every single walk-through I could find on troubleshooting the print spooler, as I get the message that the driver cannot be installed because the print spooler stopped working. I have no printers installed in my devices, and my printer files are also empty.


My print spooler seems to work absolutely fine. I monitor it while I do other things in the background, I have it up as type this. It is running seamlessly, and constantly. It is only when I begin to download a printer driver that it stops for a second, then restarts as I have it set to automatic, and restart upon fail. Just enough to stop the download. Trying to download a printer driver is the only thing that makes my print spooler stop working for that quick instant.


Do I just need a whole new computer or what? Please help!!
