  1. Unable to install required drivers for new device

I recently purchased a Canon printer that includes a scanner. In order for all to work properly, it is necessary that the Canon MP drivers download and install. I have spent countless hours working with this thing to no avail. I also have spent several hours with Microsoft and they cannot install the driver either. I can make the printer work and everything that goes with it only if I use the USB port only. This does not include the scanner. I am now waiting for a more advanced tech with MS to call me and see what they can do. Does anyone out there have any ideas. It is far too much to type everything that has been tried, so all I can do is say we have already been there and done that, if there is are any sugestions. Never have I ever run into a problem like this and to be truthful, neither has the tech that has been working with me. HELP!!!

    :)

    Laptop driver/reformat question

This is excellent advice. Writing down the list of installed devices prior to re-formatting will save you a lot of heartache. With that list, you won't have to try to figure out exactly which wireless card or web cam driver you need since there will likely be several to choose from.
