Windows 10: Unable to install Synaptics on my HP laptop after upgrading from Windows 10 Home

The Synaptics Pointing driver which worked perfectly in the previous, can simply be not installed on the new version of Windows. get the message "This driver is not compatible with the OS Version" or install the driver for a different laptop and watch it stay invisible and not working.

In the website you suggested, the first point was updating the Synaptics driver. Since the Synaptics driver entry was absent,this was impossible.

In the second point, they suggested running Synaptics Utility with administrator privileges. Again, this was impossible since there is no Synaptics driver visible.

The third point suggested restoring my system to an earlier point, presumably when the Synaptics driver wws functioning properly. This is also impossible since I've been facing this problem since I upgraded Windows from Home to Pro.

However, I did notice the website implying that all Synaptics drivers are a part of Windows updates. I did not find this to be the case. Any suggestions based on this? Or anything else might work.

Are you making sure you are trying the correct driver for the WiFi... They list Broadcom, Intel, and/or Realtek.

Also, try to run the installer as an administrator install.

If that fails... try extracting the files and manually install the driver.
