Windows 10: Unable to install Windows 10 updates - followed "Help" but still errors

Hi,


Unable to update Windows 10


"2020-01 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1809 x64-based systems KB4534273 Error 0x80070002."


Followed "Help" link and ran DISM.exe. Got to 86.2% and errored with - "0x000f0005 The specified package is not valid Windows package"


Then ran SFC/SCANNOW and after Verification message "Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them"


Continued following help and downloaded the RESETWUENG but it won't run just by double clicking as needs to be run as Administrator. My "Account" is the only one on the system and is set as Administrator, so how do I make it run??


Any other advice on this greatly received!

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

Anyone had this error installing any old games? 1607: Unable to install installshield scripting runtime error

The game is COD 2 and am running Windows 10 x64.... am sure I have installed this on a previous Windows 10 build, tried a quick google though it's throwing up a load of old threads related to Windows XP

Run the Deployment Image Servicing and Management (DISM) tool which fixes the Windows corruption error if there are any. Follow the steps:

• 
  Press Windows+X.
  
• 
  Click on Command Prompt (Admin).
  
• 
  Type the command DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth
  and hit Enter.
