Windows 10: Unable to join new wifi networks, add new bluetooth devices and a couple of other problems...

This started about a week or two ago randomly when I noticed that I could not click on the bluetooth button shortcut on the taskbar while I was trying to connect my bluetooth headphones. I then tried clicking on the battery button on my taskbar to put it's performance level to max and I could not do that either. Later in the day I tried to join one of my friend's hotspot connections but I could not open the available networks tab, my laptop is able to connect to ones is been previously connected to, but it cannot join any new ones. I tried looking for updates, but my settings say that there ar

"add new bluetooth device" vs "join personal area network"


i don't know if i am missing something or it is a bug on w10.
i click "add new bluetooth device" and then i can pair a lumia, ok. i can see my phone in "join personal area network" window.
if i try to pair the phone from "join personal area network" window i can see it in bluetooth devices list but not in "join personal area network" window.
so... it is a bug?! did i make anything wrong?! what is the difference between "add new bluetooth device" and "join personal area network" on w10?! what is "join personal area network" used for?!

Unable to see a specific WiFi Network in list

I have Windows 8.1. I can see the WiFi networks of everyone in the vicinity. However, am unable to see the WiFi network installed in my home.

The WiFi Network that am unable to see is a new connection. This new connection is seen by all devices (Mobiles etc) but it is.not getting displayed in my Windows 8.1 list.

I have seen other threads on the issue which recommend checking WLAN Autoconfig etc. And have tried those steps too. But there is no change in the outcome.

Can anyone please suggest any solution that migjt work. I am not willing to format my Laptop.

Any help would be deeply appreciated.

How/where do I enter WiFi password to join company WiFi?


I think a new thread would be better as I have no Bluetooth devices and people might not see the question with a title about WiFi..

You could look here through and make sure bluetooth is turned on...





And Airplane mode in notifications isn't....
