    Unable to log in with pincode, help!


    Hi, my windows account is currently logged off and in lockscreen. When I try to log on, it keeps asking for a password which I don't remember. I think I normally log on with a pincode, but there seems to be no option to use this. I don't understand why it switched, and I really need my laptop for a big assignment tomorrow. Please help me!

    Logging in, Pincode to Password

    Dear Microsoft community,

    After booting my laptop into safe mode, it's asking for my password instead of my usual way of logging in. I have tried every single thing I could think of, but I don't know it. Full information;

    Its the only account on the device, I've been logging in since I've bought the laptop with either face recognition, or pincode. After a normal restart It lets me choose which method of logging in, but now it wont let me.

    Has anyone had the same problem, or know how to reset it externally?

    PS: it's on windows 10

    login with pincode is no longer possible after system restore

    Someone from other post with same issue found the solution for my problem.

    Resetting alone did not do the job but after suggested following 'Forgot my pincode' procedure making new pincode (same is possible) I had to login again to Microsoft account and that straightened things out again.

    After restart I could login again with pincode!
