Windows 10: Unable to log in

HiI tried to log in and it said that the PIN is disabled due to too many attempts or shutdowns both of which are incorrect.It said to wait 2 hours but I have waited days now and nothing ....I am unable to use the Passwords or answer the 3 questions.I am tryingt o log into a Lenovo desktop linked to my Microsoft.Please advice on how I can get in!!!!Thank you, Jaye

To troubleshoot you concern, we recommend you to start your computer in safe mode, then perform clean boot after. Refer to the links below for steps:

After performing a clean boot, follow the steps under the section How to reset the computer to start normally after a clean boot troubleshooting.

Unable to log into computer

Hi Ian,

Thanks for the suggestion, though I am unable to preform the clean boot as I need to be logged into the computer to preform it. I am still unable to log in.

Black screen on Windows 10, unable to log-in with error: "Preapring Automatic Repair"

As per the description, I understand that you are facing black screen errors and unable to log-in.

Provide us the additional information to assist you better with this issue:

• What is the exact error message/ error code of this issue?
• Have you made any changes to the operating system prior to this issue?

As a workaround, I suggest you to remove all the external devices being connected (except mouse and keyboard), try hard reboot the device and check the status of this issue.
