Windows 10: unable to log into device

We bought some used Toshiba Toughbooks from Amazon. They were supposed to have been refurbished and wiped clean, ready to use. We are unable to log onto them due to the fact that they are still linked to the original Owner and their domain. How do we reset the Toughbooks to factory setting so that we can log into the devices and use them. I contacted Panasonic and they said that it was a Microsoft problem

Unable to log in to W10 laptop

Hi Ray,

I suggest you to press the tab key in the keyboard and then to the Ease of access and then select the on screen keyboard. After selecting the on screen keyboard I suggest you to type the password and then boot to the desktop. I would then suggest you to
check the mouse in different USB slots and then follow the below steps.

Un-installing and Installing Driver.

• • Type“Device Manager” on the search bar and then Enter.
  • Open Device Manager, expand “Human Interface Devices”.
  • Find and double-click the driver from the left panel to uninstall.
  • Right-click the device, and click Uninstall.
  • Windows will prompt you to confirm the device’s removal. Click OK to remove the driver.
  • After you have successfully uninstalled the driver, please go to the computer manufacturer’s website, download the Windows 10 driver for your computer and check.

Repeat the same steps from above but in 2nd step select the Mice and other pointing devices to reinstall the mouse drivers.

Black screen on Windows 10, unable to log-in with error: "Preapring Automatic Repair"

As per the description, I understand that you are facing black screen errors and unable to log-in.

Provide us the additional information to assist you better with this issue:

• What is the exact error message/ error code of this issue?
• Have you made any changes to the operating system prior to this issue?

As a workaround, I suggest you to remove all the external devices being connected (except mouse and keyboard), try hard reboot the device and check the status of this issue.
