Windows 10: Unable to log into microsoft account on Microsoft 11

Recently, after installing windows 11, i was unable to log into Microsoft account in settings. when i press the sign in button, a window appears for a second before disappearing with no explanation.In task manager i do see that the Microsoft WWA Host is apparently 'suspended' with a yellow pause symbol and a 'runtime broker' proccess beside it that is otherwise invisible to me if that is to be a window i do not see itif i try to resume it in the resource manager, nothing happens. its also I guess worth mentioning that there are other processes listed as suspended with a yellow pause symbol;

Logging in to Win 11 with Microsoft Account

I do not know who in his wisdom decided to make it mandatory to log into Win 11 with a Microsoft account - my hotel wifi requires an additional step to connect to the internet. So I am now unable to work offline on my laptop

 

Unable to uninstall Microsoft Account

I don't know if the above question is associated with removing the Microsoft Account password or something else. I am getting error that say my password has expired. I am unable to log into outlook or excel and many other Microsoft products. Microsoft says I should check my password and userid. I have tried to try everything that the programs have suggest and other suggestions I get, I cannot try because the image that comes in the instructions are not what I get. Please give me help !!
