  1. Unable to login to any profiles other than Administrator. WINDOWS 11

I just got home, tried to log into my main profile I usually use, it uses the Microsoft sign in thing but the Microsoft sign in prompt kept disappearing. I then tried to go to the administrator account to sign out and try again, but when I tried to click "Sign in" the screen went black with a message. I don't remember the message exactly, but it was something about the profile wasn't found if I recall correctly. I've tried some stuff, but not too much. What I've tried:- net user NAME /active:yes- restarting etc.I'm hoping it's not malware, but that seems quite unlikely since all my files are

    :)

  2. Unable To Login By Administrator Account After Upgrade To Window 10

    Hello Chow,

We realize the inconvenience you have experienced.

    • Are you able to login to your computer using any existing User Profile?
    • Does that User Profile have required administrative privileges?
If you say yes for the both questions, then you can enable the built-in administrator User Profile by following below mentioned steps.

    * Right-click on Start and select Computer Management.

    * Navigate to Computer Management (Local) > System Tools > Local Users and Groups > Users.

    * On the right pane spot and double click on Administrator User Profile.

    * Clear the check box Account is disabled.

    * Click Apply/OK.

Now reboot your computer and see if the administrator profile lists on the login screen.

Let us know how it went.

    Thank you.

  3. Unable to login as an Administrator on Windows 10.

    Hi Miguel,

The above issue might occur if you don’t know or do not have the administrator rights of the user profile on the computer.

Before we assist further, I would like to ask you a few questions:

    • How many user accounts are present on the computer?
    • When you say “I cant log in as an Administrator”, are you not able to login or do you not have an administrator user profile in the computer?

If you have an administrator user account on the computer, I suggest you to login or ask the user to convert your user account to administrator user account and check if the issue is resolved.

To give administrator permission, follow the steps below:

    • Press Windows logo + X keys on the keyboard and select
Control panel from the context menu.
    • Click on Change account type under User accounts.
    • Select the user account from the window and click on Change the account type.
    • Select Administrator radio button and click on
      Change account type
      .
    • Close the window and logout from the current user account and check if the changes are effective.

If you do not have an administrator user account on the computer, boot the computer in
Safe mode and check if similar issue persists.

Safe mode is a diagnostic mode that starts your computer with limited drivers necessary to run Windows. The words
Safe Mode appear at the corners of your monitor to identify which Windows mode you are using. Logging into
Safe mode will help in diagnosing if the issue is caused due to the corrupted user profile or the services disabled on the PC.

Expand the options to boot into Safe Mode:

    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-in/windows-10/start-your-pc-in-safe-mode

Reboot the PC to exit from Safe mode.

To know more about Safe mode, following is an article on
Windows Startup Settings (including safe mode) (Applies to Windows 10 also):

    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/windows-startup-settings-safe-mode

Write to us with the status of not able to login into the administrator user profile on the computer in the same post for further assistance. Your reply is most important for us to ensure we assist you accordingly.

    Thank you.

  4. Unable to login to any profiles other than Administrator. WINDOWS 11

Administrator account, error message: "The user profile service failed the sign in. User profile cannot be loaded" Windows 10.

    Hi Amy,

Thank you for posting your query on Microsoft Community.

We understand how you feel about the situation. We're sorry for the trouble this has caused.

I suggest you to sign out from the current user account, restart the system and login to the either administrator account or the Microsoft account to check, if that helps.

Also, I suggest you to install any pending updates on the system to check, if that helps. Updates are additions to software that can help prevent or fix problems, improve how your computer works, or enhance your computing experience.

Occasionally, Windows might not read your user profile correctly, such as if your antivirus software is scanning your computer while you try to log on. Before you follow the methods given in the suggested article, try restarting your computer and logging
on with your user account again to resolve the issue.

Let’s try to refer to the suggestions provided by Arul_D replied on February 11, 2016, to fix your issue.

    Redirecting

Further, you may have to enable the built in admin account from the recovery environment, login to that account and then create a new admin account. Once this is done disable the built in admin account and login to the new admin account to check, if that
    helps.

Enable built-in administrator by following the steps below, create a new administrator user profile and check if the issue is resolved.

Step 1: Enable built-in administrator account.

    • Open elevated command prompt by entering Safe mode with Command prompt.
To go to Safe mode, use the power button on the sign-in screen and press
Shift (key on the keyboard) + Restart. This will take you to the recovery boot menu. Click
      Troubleshoot> Advanced options> Startup settings.
You then see a list where you can choose Safe Mode with Command prompt.
    • Type the following command: net user administrator /active:yes to activate the built-in administrator.
    • Login into the built in administrator user profile and create a new user profile with administrator privileges (steps given below).
    • Then lock your screen by pressing Windows key + L keys on the keyboard and sign-in into the
      Administrator account.
    • Disable built in administrator account by typing the command:
      net user administrator /active:no
      in the Command prompt (Admin).
Step 2: To create a new administrative user account
    follow the steps below:

    • Open Elevated command prompt by pressing Windows logo + X keys on the keyboard and select
Command prompt (Admin) from the context menu.
    • Type net user NewAccount password /add and click
      Enter
      .
    • Type net localgroup Administrators NewAccount /add and click
      Enter.
    • Log off from the system and login to the new user account.

If the issue persists, I suggest you to make sure if the "User Profile Service"
is started and automatic from the new admin user account
    .

    a. Press Windows key + R
and type "services.msc" in the run box and press Enter.

    b. In services Window check for "User Profile Service"status.

    c. If it is stopped, click on the drop down menu and click on
    automatic
    and click on start.

    d. Check the status of the issue.

Hope the above information helps. Reply with necessary information and the result to help you further.

    Thank you.
