Windows 10: Unable to login to Microsoft account on PC

I'm having an absolute nightmare with logging into my microsoft account on my PC, Microsoft store app and Xbox Store app. It keeps coming up with multiple error codes listed belowI've spent about 5/6 hours so far following various troubleshooting videos and NOTHING seems to be working. I've gone as far as to upgrading my system to Windows 11 from Windows 10.I've reached my breaking point with it and have decided to post in here to see if anyone can offer guidance.These are the Error codes I get: 0x80860010 - Most common0x8007000e0x8007003BUsing a wired connection. Unable to login with microsoft account

Issues with signing in to a Microsoft account are usually happening due
the two-step verification is turned on or you are traveling or using a new device.
For us to provide an accurate resolution, we would need you to answer the following questions:

• Are you experiencing the sign in issue upon logging in to your computer?
• Are you having the same error when you are trying to sign in to your Microsoft account using a web browser? If yes, is the same issue happening even when you are using other web browsers?
• Have you made any changes to your account before this issue occurred?
• What changes have you made to your computer prior to having this issue?

Unable to login to PC using Deleted School email account

Hi Michel,



Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.



I understand it can be frustrating when you are unable to access the PC using the university account.

1. Do you have any other user account configured on the PC?
   
2. Were you able to login using the new Microsoft account previously?
   
3. Did you purchase the Windows 10 license from Microsoft store?
   

As you have mentioned that the school email account have been deleted, in that case you may not be able to login to the PC using the same password.



Also, if you have purchased the license from Microsoft store then I suggest you to get in touch with the
Microsoft Accounts & Billing support team.

Locked out of PC unable to login

I understand that you are unable to login to the PC. For further clarity on the issue, please respond to the questions below.

1. What is the exact error message when you try to login to the PC?
   
2. Do you have internet connectivity on the PC? If yes, is it wired or wireless?
   
3. Do you see any option to sign in using the PIN?
   

If you are using Microsoft account and you have reset the password, but still unable to login then I would suggest you to try connecting the PC using an Ethernet cable and then try to login.



In case you are using a local account, then you may want to refer the article

Reset your Windows 10 local account password



Note: Do not perform reset on the PC if you don’t have backup of the data.
