Windows 10: Unable to login to my pc

I factory reset my pc and now whenever I try to sign in it says “the specified domain either does not exist or could not be contacted” every time I click sign in it says that. I tried factory resetting it again, the keep my files option and after it was done it kept doing the same thing. I watched a tutorial about it and I held shift when I clicked restart to click trouble shooting, after that I tried logging in with safe mode and networking. It still says “the specified domain either does not exist or could not be contacted.” I tried to factory reset my pc again and just wipe everything I do

1. What is the exact error message when you try to login to the PC?
   
2. Do you have internet connectivity on the PC? If yes, is it wired or wireless?
   
3. Do you see any option to sign in using the PIN?
   

If you are using Microsoft account and you have reset the password, but still unable to login then I would suggest you to try connecting the PC using an Ethernet cable and then try to login.



In case you are using a local account, then you may want to refer the article

Note: Do not perform reset on the PC if you don’t have backup of the data.

Unable to login to the PC after updating to Windows 10 1903 update

To understand the issue better, please respond to the questions below:

1. Is the PC connected to university network/domain network?
   
2. Is the computer connected to the internet while you are trying to login to your computer?
   

If you are not connected to internet, please connect an Ethernet cable to the PC and then try logging.



However, I would suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below and check if that helps.



Method 1:



Try booting the PC in to safe mode and check if you are able to login. Refer the article

If the issue persists, please try the next method.



Method 2:



Since you are unable to login, I would suggest you to try rolling back the update and check. Refer the section
Go back to your previous version of Windows in the article

In addition, you can also try resetting the password for the university account and check if you are able to login. In order to reset the password please get in touch with the university.
