Windows 10: Unable to Login to School Account

After receiving an error message on Excel and Powerpoint that my cached credentials had expired, I attempted to troubleshoot the issue which led me to disconnect my school account from laptop. Now when I try to reconnect, I receive the same error message. Can someone please assist?

I understand it can be frustrating when you are unable to access the PC using the university account.

1. Do you have any other user account configured on the PC?
   
2. Were you able to login using the new Microsoft account previously?
   
3. Did you purchase the Windows 10 license from Microsoft store?
   

As you have mentioned that the school email account have been deleted, in that case you may not be able to login to the PC using the same password.



Also, if you have purchased the license from Microsoft store then I suggest you to get in touch with the
Microsoft Accounts & Billing support team.

Or contact support from your school.

 

Remove Deactivated Work Or School Email Account

I have an organizational email account that has been deactivated, current guides online say the following:

"If you need to remove an account from your PC:

1. Select Start > Settings > Accounts > Access work or school .
   
2. Select the account you wish to remove, then select Disconnect
   
   ...."
   

However, the only option presented at this section is "Manage" which forwards me to my organization's page to login. The account has since been deactivated with no way to get to the next step.
I have been getting notifications from my system that "There is a problem with a work or school account click her to fix now" but obviously can't login to remove the account from the system.
Is there a work around to remove the account without logging in?
