Windows 10: Unable to login to son's new Windows 11 laptop

My 12 year old son got a new laptop for Christmas. Having trouble signing in to Windows 11. It prompts for a guardian. So I enter my MS login details but get an error 'Something's not working. It's not you, it's us'. I searched online and found my way to the MS Family Safety page. I added my sons account, sent invite, tried accept and was prompted for my login again. When I add this I gt the same error, 'Something's not working. It's not you, it's us'. So, I seem to be just going around in circles! :-/ Nothing seems to be working.

W10 wiped my son's laptop

• Is your son, getting an error message when he tried to turn on his laptop?
• When he tried to open his laptop, are you able to check if the power light stays on?
• Are you seeing black screen/blank screen when you tried to turn on his laptop?

Windows users at login

I cannot see all of my user accounts on the login screen on a new Windows 10 laptop. I have an account for my son and it does not appear as a user on the login screen. It is listed if I display the users with the CMD prompt. The only account I see is my
account which is an admin. His account is a user. All the suggestions I've seen are not available on home edition.

Step 1: I suggest you to select the appropriate language in login screen at the bottom right corner and check if it helps.

Steps 2: Use On-screen keyboard in the login screen to login and check if it helps.
