Windows 10: Unable to login with admin user/pass over SMB

I have a Windows 11 miniPC where I enabled file sharing over the network/SMB.I've done this in the past successfully with a large number of miniPC's, but for some reason this time I'm completely unable to connect.- Windows 11- Create admin account using a microsoft account.- NOTE: at time of admin account creation, I logged in using a single-use code that was emailed to me. I'm a bit suspicious that this may be part of the problem- I selected private network for sharingI'm connecting with a macbook on the same network. smb://path/to/folder connects, but when I'm prompted with my username/passw

Have other user accounts but those do not have Admin rights.

Mine is Windows 7 Home basic version.

Help me reset my password and login to Administrator.

Local user disappeared frin login options after upgrade

Hi Zoee,

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, I was unable to fix the issue. Here are my steps:

• I've uninstalled the last 3 updates (the ones from september):
  
  • however, they keep getting reinstalled:
    

• I've added two new users: one from the GUI, the other as you suggested in step 2:
  
  • They are listed under users;
    
• I've also booted in safe mode just to check.
  

I still have no way to login other than with the main account. No local users are available at login or when I go to start menu and click on my user.

Please advise

When you first loaded Windows, you were prompted for an account name & password. This account was automatically created with admin privileges. Did you demote it? When?
