Windows 10: Unable to login with Diagnostic Startup enabled

Accidentally started win 10 using startup diagnostics log inj, now the desktop is locked up, unable to access login screen, nor does it allow MS account password? At wits end, have wathced a ton of Youtube vidseos, nothing lets me access the computer?

Unable to login with Diagnostic Startup enabled

So I thought it would be harmless to start in diagnostic mode in order to troubleshoot a video driver and ran into this exact problem: login screen with no login text boxes or account picture. I tried every method listed here but I was unable to resolve
my issue. I even went so far as to attempt to enable the legacy boot option (good old F8), but could not seem to get that to work from the recovery console. Finally, I restarted the laptop and let it go to the blank login screen one last time and walked away.

An hour later I returned and there were the login picture and text boxes! It appears it was just a matter of patience while the computer ran whatever it needed in order to operate in diagnostic mode. Out of sheer morbid curiosity, I attempted to replicate
the process by re-enabling normal startup, restarting, and then enabling diagnostic startup again. Sure enough, after waiting about 15 minutes at a login screen with no login area, the picture and text boxes to log in finally appeared.

I'm not sure what processes were going on in the background which caused this painfully long delay, but I guess it's just a matter of patience. At least, that was the situation in my case. Keep in mind my laptop has dual display processors and an 8GB internal
SSD (which was used for fast boot in Windows 7, but does nothing in Windows 10), so those may have been what was causing the delay.

Hi Zac,

You may access the Windows Recovery Environment by making your computer think that the startup is failing. To do so, follow the steps below:

• Turn on your computer.
• When you see the loading dots, immediately turn off your computer.
• Repeat step one and two. Twice will be enough for the computer to think that you are having issues with start up.
• Once the computer boots up for the third time, you will see the loading dots on the screen and the message
  "Preparing automatic repair".
• Afterwards, your PC may turn blank then it will show "Diagnosing your PC".
• It will ask you to Restart or Advanced options, choose Advance Options.
  

Once in Windows Recovery Environment, you may go to Troubleshoot >
Advanced Options > Startup Settings to access
Safe Mode.

Unable to switch back to Normal startup from Diagnostic startup

To get better performance from my laptop, I was trying a few things including disabling startup programs, etc. While doing this, I inadvertently switched to Diagnostic startup. After this, I am unable to login to Windows using my administrator login because
the PIN login is disabled (because of the diagnostic startup mode) and Windows is not able to verify my password against the Outlook.com account since the Diagnostic startup does not start with the network enabled.

I have tried Safe Mode with Network, but again for some unknown reason, the Safe Mode also doesn't have networking, so again it cannot verify the password supplied.

I tried the refresh OS option to retain the data, but reset all applications. It won't accept that either.

BTW, I do have access to the 'Visitor' account and can login through the same. But I am unable to login to the Admin account nor am I able to access its data.

1. How do I switch back to Normal startup

OR

2. How can I enable PIN based login

OR

3. How can I enable networking in Safe mode or in Diagnostic mode so Windows can verify the admin password?
