Windows 10: UNABLE TO LOGON TO WINOWS 10 - NO PASSWORD ENTER BOX - LOCKED OUT - CRITICAL!!

All of a sudden, when I boot windows it shows the picture screen which has the date and time in lower left corner and the computer icon in lower right but when I hit the space bar to get the password box to put my pin it, it doesn't show!!It blurs the picture like its starting to but then it doesn't show a text box to enter it.What is going on? How do I get my computer back?????

went to control panel user accounts and there is no longer a ' remove password ' option as with windows 7

i changed the settings to ' not require a password on logon' but made no difference at all

it now boots saying password wrong, until I enter a password then all ok...

MS suggest adding a new account and logging in with that without a password then deleting the old one.....

does not not work as the add account is greyed out.

cant see why this is so difficult..

as as a side issue since trying to remove the windows logon password I am now presented on boot up with an OS choice wi cows 10 or 7.... I am certain this wasn't there before..

any my help would be appreciated

Please do let us know the following to understand the issue and assist you better:

• What is the make and model of your device?
• Are you trying to log-in using Microsoft account or local account?
• Are you trying to enter pin or password?

Assuming that this issue might be because of keyboard, I suggest you to use on-screen keyboard from the lock screen and check if it helps.

Steps: From the lock screen, click on Ease of access and click on On-screen keyboard.

Automatic logon does not work on my computer

a) I am unable to remember one of the logons which I setup as an emergency logon (in case I forget the other logon).

-> When logged on under an admin account, you can change the password for any other account. Press the Windows key and type users, then follow the prompts.

b) I am unable to long [log on?] without keying in a password.

You must follow this procedure while the user accounts panel (the one you posted) is active:

• Tick the box that requires users to enter a password.
• Click the account name under which you wish to log on automatically.
• Untick the box from Step 1.
• Click OK.
• Enter the password for the chosen account.
