  1. Unable to modify USB flash drive

Can't copy files from PC Windows 11 laptop to USB drive nor delete file/folders on USB drive nor can I format it. Says I need administrator permission. I am the administrator. I can copy files/folders from USB to desktop. It says "Destination Folder access denied"And in the security tab of the properties of my drives it shows I have full control. Also for some reason unable to insert photos in this query while I was able to insert photos in gmail website and web whatsappI have searched a little bit about this problem online and it says to change ownership of the drives.Current ownership:- C:TRUS

    USB Flash Drive Not Recognised

To find what Navy suggest:: Open a CMD window as administrator and type: diskpart list disk (it will list all drives. Identify the USB drive number) select disk n (replace n by the USB drive number obtained with list disk) list part (is there more than one partition?) select part 1 detail part (is it ntfs or Fat32?) exit

  3. USB Flash drive made bootable

    Hi Nelson,

Check if there is any slide switch on the side that provides write protection. It show's a closed and open lock on each side. We suggest to follow these steps below:

    • Insert the USB flash drive into the USB port.
    • Click Start, type devmgmt.msc in the Search textbox and press Enter.
    • Find Disk Drives and expand it.
    • Find the USB flash drive you want to format, and double-click it. It opens the
      Properties dialog box.
    • Click Policies tab.
    • By default, the Optimize for quick removal option selected, switch it to Optimize for performance and then press
      OK.
    • Now open Computer. Right click on the USB Flash Drive and select Format. The Format dialog box now appears.
    • Select NTFS in the File System field.
    • Press Start and wait while the process will be completed.

You can also connect the USB drive on a different computer and try formatting.

Let us know how it goes.
