Windows 10: Unable to network file share between two laptops

System information: HP Omen 17.3 Inch Gaming Laptop - Windows 11 Home 64 Bit Version 22H2HP Notebook - Windows 11 Home 64 Bit Version 21H2Both Accounts on each system are live and not local accounts. HP Omen network path is \\VINCE\HP Notebook network path is \\PIRATETAT69\From my Hp Omen, I am able to access the network path of my HP notebook \\piratetat69\ with no issueFrom my HP notebook - I am unable to connect o the network path of my HP Omen \\VINCE\ It is requesting me to sign in says "Enter Network Credentials" Enter the credentials to connect to VINCEBut no matter the log in credentia

Unable to share files in my LAN

Hi all, I have two Windows 10 PC's in my home LAN (connected to same wired router). I would like to be able to transfer files between them. I have followed all steps in this guide and verified all requirements comply with it. When I open Windows Explorer and then click on Network in one PC I see the other PC listed, but when I double click on the PC I don't see any shared folder listed,not even the Public folder, instead I see the following error, any hint? Thanks

I understand that you are unable to see shared folders in File Explorer. I’ll certainly assist you with this.



I would suggest you to check if Network discovery is on or not. To do this, refer the steps mentioned below:

1. Go to Control Panel > Click on
   Network and Internet > Click on Network and Sharing Center.
   
   
2. Click on Change advance sharing settings
   on the left pane.
   
3. Select Turn on network discovery
   under Private and Guest network.
   
4. Click on Save changes.

File sharing help

Does your router have a USB port? Mine lets you just plug in a thumb drive with files on it ,and they can be accessed from any device on the network. Dont know if this has been tried, if it has just ignore
