Windows 10: Unable to Offboard a Windows 10 device from Microsoft Defender ATP

Dear Team,


Onboarded the Windows 10 device with the one of out test tenant but when I am going to onboard the machine with the Organization then Onboarding is successful but the registry key "Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows Advanced Threat Protection" is not change. The registry key is show the old Tenant ID and Organization ID. If try to delete the registry key I am getting error Cannot delete windows Advanced Threat Protection: Error while Deleting key. Error snap shot has been attached for the response.


Please look into it and let me know is there any way to offboard the machine or else help me to modify the registry keys.

Usually we do not suggest to disable Windows Defender feature, Windows Defender ATP protects endpoints from cyber threats; detects advanced attacks and data breaches, automates security incidents, and improves security posture. However, if you
still wish to disable it, please follow the steps mentioned below and check if it helps:

1. Open Windows Settings (Windows key + I).
   
2. Then click on Updates & Settings.
   
3. Then click on Windows Security.
   
4. You can disable Cloud based and automatic submissions.
